Born and raised in Armstrong, BC, Brandon Mazur is a proud product of North Okanagan Minor Hockey Association, where he began his goaltending journey.
Brandon went on to have a strong Junior A career, including:
- 2000–01 – Sicamous Eagles (KIJHL)
- 2001–02 – Salmon Arm Silverbacks (BCHL)
- 2002–03 – Sicamous Eagles (KIJHL)
- 2003–04 – Cowichan Valley Capitals (BCHL)
After his playing days, Brandon came back to his hometown, where he’s lived his entire life — aside from time away for hockey in Salmon Arm and Duncan. Now, he’s a dedicated father with two kids in hockey, including one who is stepping into the crease as a new goalie this season.
NOMHA Board of Directors
For the past four years, Brandon has served on the NOMHA board as Goalie Coordinator and Coach, generously donating his time to support and develop the next generation of goalies.
He’s also led the charge in acquiring brand-new goalie equipment for U7, U9, and U11 age groups, making the position more accessible, exciting, and professionally supported.
Brandon lives by a powerful motto:
“Hard work beats talent if talent doesn’t work hard.”
“That’s kind of life in general.”
As a hometown goalie, a mentor, and a builder of the future, Brandon Mazur embodies the spirit of giving back.
