Minor hockey should be accessible to all families, regardless of income. If your family requires financial assistance to register your child, there are several programs available to help cover registration fees.
Each funding program has its own application process and eligibility requirements. Please apply early to ensure funds are in place before the season begins.
Hockey Canada Assist Fund
The Hockey Canada Assist Fund provides up to $500 in funding per player to cover registration fees. Funds are paid directly to the minor hockey association (like NOMHA) on your behalf.
The fund is open to families with a net household income below $100,000. Proof of income is required during the application process.
Applications are now open for the upcoming season. To apply, visit the official Hockey Canada Assist Fund page:
Note: You’ll need your Hockey Canada Registry (HCR ID) number to apply. If you don’t know yours or don’t have one yet, contact our Registrar at register@nomha.com for help.
