At North Okanagan Minor Hockey, our success wouldn’t be possible without the heart, time, and passion of our volunteer board members. Today, we’re shining the spotlight on one of our incredible leaders — Paul Pacheco — whose dedication to our association and community is nothing short of inspiring.
Paul joined NOMHA in 2018 when his son Joey started in U7. Despite never playing minor hockey himself, he jumped behind the bench as an assistant coach, simply because he wanted to help. Since then, he’s coached every single year — and when his daughter Kenna joined the game in 2021, he didn’t hesitate to double his commitment to support both kids.
Fast forward to April 2025, Paul joined the NOMHA Board and has been a driving force behind the scenes ever since. His efforts were officially recognized when he received the NOMHA Junior Volunteer Award in 2025 — a well-earned honour for a tireless contributor.
When hockey season ends, Paul shifts gears into baseball, where he continues to make an impact as a board member, coach, Equipment Manager, and now Vice President with Enderby Minor Baseball. He also volunteers with the Grindrod Recreation Association, making him a true pillar in our community.
💙 Paul’s story reminds us why we are so proud of our board — made up of parents, mentors, and community leaders who give so much of themselves for the love of the game and the well-being of our youth.
