The future of Upper North Zone hockey continues to evolve!
After listening to valuable feedback from players, families, coaches, and volunteers, the Upper North Zone Committee has introduced an updated tryout process designed to create a smoother, more efficient experience for everyone.
Here’s what families can expect this season:
π Streamlined tryout process
π
Earlier player reassignments
β
Every player receives a minimum of 3 evaluated ice times
π€ Better alignment with the Lower North Zone program
π More time for exhibition games and team preparation
π Recreation players will transition back to their home association earlier, allowing them to get on the ice sooner.
Registration for Upper North Zone tryouts reserves your player’s place for the upcoming season, and if your player is ultimately reassigned to Recreation, your original Upper North Zone registration date becomes your Recreation registration date for waitlist purposes.
π£ Coaching, Interim Head Coach, and Evaluator opportunities are also available for those looking to get involved and help shape the future of our athletes.
This pilot program continues to grow through collaboration, transparency, and feedback from our hockey community. We encourage all families considering Upper North Zone to review the complete information package before registering.
ππ€ One Zone. Stronger Together. More Opportunities.
Stay tuned to our social media channels for additional updates, registration information, important dates, and tryout schedules as they become available.
