Games will focus on fun, fair play, and on the players.
Games will be played on a full ice surface, 5-on-5, with goalies in full goalie equipment.
3 x 18-minute periods with a 2-minute warmup. The 3rd period will be adjusted to finish within game time if necessary. 1-minute break between periods.
Face-offs to start each period and after each goal. Buzzer will sound for shift changes every 2 minutes. Players change on the fly at the buzzer.
Icing and offside will be called. Scores will not be kept nor displayed on the score clock.
Players are allowed a maximum of 3 goals each per game, after which the puck will be pulled out of the net and play carried on (no face offs after 3 goals).
Minor penalties will be served by a penalty shot.
After each game, coaches will select one player from their team that they feel deserves the Heart and Hustle and one player that deserves the Most Dedicated award for that game.
Medals will be presented to all teams at the end of their last game and photo with trophy.
Support the U9 Knights tournament fundraising
The U9 Fun Days Tournament is packed with fun on and off the ice. Throughout the weekend, families and fans can support the teams through several in-arena fundraisers.
There will be 50/50 ticket sales running at games all weekend, with draws supporting U9 team costs. In Enderby, we will also have a raffle table with great prizes and a bake sale table stocked with homemade treats. These fundraisers help offset tournament expenses and support player development.
Bring your cash, grab some tickets, treat yourself to something sweet, and help make the weekend even better for our young Knights. Every ticket sold and every cookie purchased makes a difference.
