Each season, NOMHA works with Kristal Burgess of Kristal Burgess Photography to take official team and individual player photos. These photo sessions typically happen in late October or early November. You’ll receive details from your Team Manager once the date and time are confirmed.
Photo Day
Kristal photographs both the team as a group and each player individually. In general, she photographs the group first as a full team photo with coaches standing behind the players. Then individual photos are taken, with each player taking several poses. Parent volunteers are welcome to take a parent+child photo after their child has taken their individual pose photos.
Players wear full gear, except for their helmet and neck guard. Coaches are not required to wear skates but are encouraged to wear NOMHA jackets or plain black athletic jackets if they have them.
Ordering Hockey Photos
Each child receives one printed “memory mate” photo as part of their entry fees, which includes an individual player photo and a group team photo printed together on one sheet. Additional prints and digital photos are available for purchase from the photographer.
After photo day, your Team Manager will send ordering details to parents by email and through TeamSnap. Kristal uses an online ordering system available through her website. The deadline for ordering photos from Kristal is typically about 2 weeks, so be sure to order early.

Ordering is simple and secure. You’ll be able to choose your favourite photo(s) and order prints or digital files directly through the gallery. If you have any questions about your player’s photo session or ordering, feel free to reach out to your team manager or contact Kristal directly.
Receiving Your Hockey Photos
Printed photos are typically delivered from the photographer to NOMHA in mid-December. Each team’s manager will then hand out the prints at the next available practice or game. The photos are generally delivered before Christmas. Every child receives one printed “memory mate” photo as part of their team fees, plus any other photos ordered through Kristal’s website.
Digital photos are typically delivered via email download approximately 15 minutes after your order is submitted. Please contact Kristal directly if you have questions or have not received the digital downloads you ordered.
