NOMHA extends a heartfelt thank you to every player, family, coach, official, and volunteer who brings energy and commitment to the rink each week. The strength of NOMHA comes from the people who show up, support one another, and build a positive hockey culture together
With the holiday break behind us, we are now heading into the heart of the season.
Below is a summary of the key reminders and updates shared in the December newsletter.
Practices resume January 5, 2026
All NOMHA team practices will resume on January 5, 2026.
Families are encouraged to double-check team schedules and be ready to return to regular on-ice routines after the holiday break. As always, the most up-to-date schedules are available through official team communication channels and the NOMHA website
December financials reminder for team managers
Team managers and treasurers are reminded to submit December financial reports to the NOMHA Executive if they have not already done so.
Timely financial reporting helps keep the association organized, transparent, and running smoothly throughout the season. If you have questions about what needs to be submitted, please reach out to the Executive directly
NOMHA scholarship reminder
NOMHA is pleased to offer two $500 scholarships for eligible members this season.
The newsletter encourages all eligible applicants to review the scholarship details on the NOMHA website and apply, even if they feel they may not be a perfect match. The listed criteria reflect NOMHA values and goals, but they are not absolute requirements.
Scholarships will be awarded to applicants who most closely align with the outlined criteria. Full details and application information are available at:

A reminder of what matters most
Our hockey community is built on more than wins and losses. It is built on time spent together at the rink, lessons learned along the way, and small moments shared with teammates, family, and friends.
As the season continues, NOMHA encourages everyone to slow down when possible, appreciate those moments, and remember how fortunate we are to be part of this hockey family
Thank you to everyone who makes NOMHA a strong, supportive, and welcoming community.
