Female Try It Program
North Okanagan Minor Hockey Association hosted a ‘female come and try hockey’ event on April 5th at Armstrong Nor-Val arena.
The event gave first time female hockey players a chance to learn and play hockey in a fun, safe and supportive environment. The event was instructed by NOMHA coaches and well supported by players from the North Okanagan Novas U18A female hockey team.
The program gave the opportunity to 12 players aged 5-12 a chance to see what hockey is all about in a one hour ice time.
